Mobile Marketing: A good way of fast product promotion

Mobile marketing can be broadly classified under two subheads. It may refer to the concept of “marketing on the move” or marketing by using mobile devices. The term “mobile devices” can have a variety of connotations. Mobile devices can refer to mobile phones or a mobile marketing van. To clear all confusions, it is now accepted worldwide that the term mobile marketing refers to advertisement done through mobile phones. Yes, mobiles are a very good marketing tool if they can be used properly.

The business institutions have to keep this fact in mind that in today’s world everything is on the move. So, your product and service promotion has to keep pace with the fast moving life of the customers. Advertisement through radio, television, or print medium is now becoming obsolete. We do have time to watch television but with the increasing number of channels it is difficult to stick to a single channel and watch the programmes and the advertisements together. When one channel starts showing ads, we quickly move on to the other channel so that we can watch something good instead of the boring ads. No matter how much efficiently the brand managers try to promote their product via ads through traditional mediums, most of the time the impact is not as per expectations.

It is the time of x boxes, iPods and mobile phones. Gone are the days of simple mobiles, which seemed a symbol of luxury. Now, even the top end mobiles are a regarded as an essential need of everyday life. Keeping this in mind the brand managers have now initiated various techniques of mobile marketing to promote their services and products. Ad promotion techniques have to be innovative so that you can attract customers irrespective of their location.

The question is how you can do it? Initially the brand managers thought that telemarketing would be a good way of trapping customers. But slowly they came to know that phones ringing at inopportune moments disturb the target audience rather than impressing them. The worst part is that the promotional calls always come on a time when you are trapped into some serious personal or official job. Telemarketing may be quite affordable but rate of success is very less.

So the only thing left is a mobile device. One SMS is enough to make your customers know about the details about your product and service. One touch on the button and the SMS reaches thousands of customers at one go. That means you are spending for one message and the information is reaching to several thousand at a time. There is no chance of missing a single customer as ever information is fed into the computer and there can be no mistake at all.

New Home Profit Code System

Home Profit Code System

People who dream of making money from home on a 24/7/365 basis are going to really enjoy Michelle Stevens’ Home Profit Code system. The Home Profit Code is a way for you, the average working man or woman, to set up a system using the Internet that will generate a passive income for you while you provide people with the information they need.

Here’s my question: Do you have a dream? No, not a benevolent, fantastical dream to be the one who single-handedly brings ushers in a world of peace, joy, and love!

Do you have THIS dream where…

  • you work whenever you like, wherever you like and take a break whenever you darn well please
  • you take a vacation whenever you like and STILL make money — yes, even on vacation
  • you don’t have any inventory
  • you work from your bedroom
  • you don’t incur huge office overhead

… and you NEVER have to “cold call” anybody to sell anything on the phone.

In fact, the only people you talk to on the phone are the ones you want to talk to.

Well, this is all possible when you grab your piece of the Internet Pie. Call it “virtual real estate”.

How, you may ask, is this all possible? How can you live this dream for yourself… legitimately?

I call it the Home Profit Code. You can find out more about it at the Home Profit Code website or read my Home Profit Code Review.

The Marketing Mindset: 3 Ways to get people to want something

There are three things that you need to do to get people to want your services: 1)Make it scarce, 2)show that other people want it and 3) make them work for it.

1)Make it scarce

The services and products that charge the most are the ones that build scarcity into their marketing. We need water more than we need diamonds but water comes a dime a dozen. Another word for scarcity is busy. If you’re in the service business then you need to appear busy whether you are or whether you’re not.

If I call a lawyer and he doesn’t have any cases then the natural assumption is that he isn’t good (although it could be a wrong assumption). The reason is because we look at a small aspect of people’s lives and make inferences on all other aspects. Since this lawyer isn’t busy then I have to assume people don’t hire him because he isn’t a good lawyer. I bet Johnnie Cochran never had a problem getting business. He was too busy for new clients and that is why he got them.

2)Show that other people want it

Imagine you’re driving in a new state and you’re looking for a restaurant. You pass a one that has a huge line which curves all the way around the building into the parking lot. You might not wait in line since you have little patience but you have to be thinking it must be good. Why else would people wait in such a long line for food?

Night clubs do this a lot as well. They make people wait so a line is created and when others drive by the club, they think it must be good since everyone is waiting to get in.

To have the marketing mindset you need to show that other people want your services. That might mean you need to create a client list of all the people you worked with, provide references, and more. But the key is to show that a lot of people are interested in what you do. If you only have two references then that doesn’t tell me how good you are. On the other hand, if you have a list of 2,000 references of people I can call to tell me how good you are then I don’t even need to call. The fact that you have so many already creates credibility.

Marketing is about perceptions. If you can create the perception that other people want what you have, then the natural conclusion is that what you have must be good.

3)Make them work for it

People don’t value free. When you buy a home, you feel special because you have invested a lot to get to that point. When you buy an expensive car you don’t let people lean on it because that car is your baby. When people have to work for something, they value it more.

This work doesn’t have to be physical as in mowing the lawn. This work has to be more about invested time. Are you spending time with them on the phone, email, and in person? Do you send out a contract? Do they have to deposit (invest) a certain amount of money for you to begin working? There are many ways to get other people invested in what you do and the more invested they are then the more they will value your services.

Warning: making people work for it will force them to value it more. You have to dangle possibility in front of them and make sure they can reach it. If you dangle a string in front of a cat without letting him/her grab it then the cat will get bored and find something else.

So those are the three things you need to do to get someone to want something. You have to make it scarce, show that other people want it, and make them work for it. If you can build these into your marketing then you will have a very magnetic service.
